Dr. James Thompson holds a Ph.D in Instructional Communications and has over 25 years of experience as a teacher. His distance learning courses, workbooks, and videotapes have been used to train more than 250,000 educators in the art of student discipline. His works include: Teaching Students Responsibility, Dealing With Discipline Problems, Human Relations and School Discipline, Assertive Discipline and Beyond, and Dealing With Difficult Students.

Merrill Ream

Merrill L. Ream, Ph.D. has taught his speed reading techniques to thousands of students in high schools, adult schools, colleges, universities, and the U.S. Navy. Dr. Ream's published works include a university textbook entitled "The Merrill Ream 10-Lesson Speed Reading Course." He is the assistant editor of "Action Era Vehicle" magazine, and also served as associate director of the Center For Economic Education at San Diego State University.
